How AI Is Impacting Business Operations In The Kitchen and Bath Industry

AI’s influence on the kitchen and bath industry is significant, as it is for all home related industries, and this new article by Jamie Gold, in the September 2026 issue of Kitchen and Bath Design News Magazine explores how various manufacturers and others are utilizing AI in their kitchen and bath operations.

I was honored to be asked by Jamie to be a contributor to this article and I encourage everyone of you to read this thoroughly researched and well written article.

As many of you know who might be seeing this, Jamie is also a senior contributor to Forbes.com. Anything she writes is worth reading.

In addition to myself, Jamie asked these other notable industry experts to contribute their thoughts, as well.

As you can see below, the article is a 3 page spread in the current issue, and you can read it here for free, without the need to share an email address. If any of you reading this want to share the article within your own networks, simply copy and paste the URL link below to be able to do it.

Jamie asked me to share some images of my AILA sink for Thompson, and the one her editors chose for the article was this one of AILA, shown customized as an undermount and installed in the powder room of one of Robin Baron’s clients in New York City.

Below are also some of the other images shown in the article. Cosentino is utilizing AI extensively as you will read and the refrigerator shown from SKS Appliances has earned a high trust rating from Consumer Reports.

Those 3rd party citations like the one SKS earned from Consumer Reports matter, a LOT, in the world of AI search, and is one of the reasons my own business, Savour Partnership, is thriving in its 24th year, as I have earned a lot of unpaid media coverage over the years.

Brands and designers [ and agencies like mine] need earned media citations more than ever, as those are all signals to AI search engines like ChatGPT that your company is a trusted resource. This means your company will appear higher in AI search results by your potential clients or customers.

I didn’t know Jamie was going to use my quote for her Last Words in this article, but I stand by it.

Change has always been..and will always be…inevitable, and if we want to thrive in business over the long term, we have to adapt our businesses to new technologies - even when - if - we’re reluctant to do so.

Thriving in the age of the AI economy is going to require adaptations from all of us, me included, and I’m grateful to Jamie and her editors at Kitchen and Bath Design News Magazine for digging into the changes occurring in the kitchen and bath industry in order to educate their readership.

Watch for Part 2 of Jamie’s article coming out in the October issue.
